Soifer Family McDonald’s Commitment to Cleanliness: Addressing Recent Rumors

We are aware of recent online rumors regarding a pest infestation at our Oelwein McDonald’s location. Cleanliness and food safety are our top priorities, and we take any concern seriously.

We continue to conduct extensive deep cleaning with our skilled maintenance team and have worked closely with both our licensed pest control provider and the health department, all of whom have confirmed there is no evidence of a current or past pest infestation. The health department’s report from their recent unannounced inspection is available on our website. In summary, Black Hawk County Health Inspector Adam Hahn said, “Complaint unverifiable. No pests noted in establishment.”

Separately, we recently experienced plumbing issues caused by foreign objects being flushed down the toilets by a group of teenagers. We’ve addressed the issue, completed a thorough cleaning, and informed those individuals that they are no longer welcome on the premises.

We’ve taken every responsible step to investigate and resolve any potential issues and want you to know that the online claims being circulated are simply not true. We stand by the cleanliness of our restaurant and our commitment to providing a safe, welcoming environment for every guest.
